GTA 6 system requirements

There are no official GTA 6 system requirements — and there can't be yet, because no PC version has been announced. Every "minimum specs" table circulating for GTA 6 is invented. Here's what can honestly be inferred instead.

What the console target tells us

GTA 6 ships first on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — hardware built around Zen 2 CPUs, RDNA 2 GPUs and fast NVMe storage. Rockstar confirmed Trailer 2 was captured on a standard PS5. Two practical inferences: an eventual PC build's baseline will assume SSD storage as a hard requirement (as current-gen-only titles now standard), and the realistic floor sits well above RDR2's 2019 requirements (which asked for roughly a mid-range quad-core CPU, 8–12GB RAM and a GTX 1060-class GPU at 1080p). When official requirements publish, this page becomes the definitive spec table with per-tier hardware recommendations.

Frequently asked questions

What are the minimum system requirements for GTA 6?
None exist. No PC version has been announced, so no requirements have been published. Any specs table you've seen for GTA 6 is fabricated.
Can my PC run GTA 6?
Not yet — GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. When a PC version is announced, expect requirements meaningfully above RDR2's, with an SSD mandatory.
How many GB will GTA 6 be?
Unannounced. Rockstar hasn't published an install size for any platform. For scale, current-gen open-world flagships commonly land between 90GB and 200GB; we'll record the official figure the moment store pages list it.
